Life- A Running Editorial

My brain has started viewing my life as a detached observer.

Its a bunch of fast moving powerpoint slides. With each scene in the middle and footnotes coming at the bottom and a small editorial article written on the right.

A part of me is advocating a switch to the comic slideshow- with little sarcastic bubble floating on top of me and a narrative voice just walking me through the scenes. And OH! those noise words like 'GRRrrrrowwlllllll' next to my tummy (I am hungry)

political correctness caught my tongue

Words form in my mind.
I type them. Think about who might get affected and delete them all.

Advertising Genius

There are some big marketing geniuses out there- Steve Jobs reiterating his status again with the iphone.

Only rarely do you see true advertising genius. The ones that break away from the norm and create something that sells.

The latest eBay ads do not mention eBay at all. In fact, one has no idea that they are eBay ads until one goes to the website they want you to go to- www.windorphins.com

They have completely bypassed the 'buy me' or 'remember me' type of advertising and created a fun thing. After all, why do you shop? Why did my friend just buy $300 shoes? Why did I order the laptop?

Its not because she or I needed the shoes or laptop. Its because shopping is fun. The fun goes away after a while and we are all ready to buy the next cool thing.

What better way to advertise a shopping site than to highlight and remind us of the fun?
