oh, and learnt to address everyone as 'Saaaaar' or 'Boss' (Even if it makes Vinit and Arvind close my side window)!

music, loud enough to tune them out
lights, dark enough to shut them out
food, sparse enough to prove them wrong
fantasy, so strong to make it real
life, long enough to do it all
strength, enough to make it all
will, big enough to make it last
friends, enough to be with you

Logical Religion P6.0- What's Religion?

Religion is following a set of rules that you believe in.
Blind religion is following a set of rules set by someone else, whom you believe in, but following the letter not the spirit.

Right and Wrong, Good and Bad, is all relative. Everyone knows that. Even a bunch of HSBC ads can show that.

But then what makes us fight for our religion? What makes us stand up tell others to convert or burn in hell (Yes, I know that hinduism, jainism or buddhism don't convert) Why do ALL religions degrade after a certain period of time?

Is it that religion becomes a structure for power in time? And that our individualist quests do not fit in with the overall concept of good for everyone else?
Is it that religion becomes a beacon for a type of culture? And conversions ensure a very diplomatic way of spreading our way of life? Ensuring that WE don't have to change?

What's your social status?

As Pawan Varma very aptly put in his book, we Indians like to judge a person within the first few seconds of meeting them. This is usually done by looking at the car they drive, the clothes they wear, whether they speak in English and then lastly, with a more direct Q&A session regarding what their father does, where they live and what they do for a living.

In the case of women, I have realized that the Q&A is limited to only one thing: "Do you cook?"

Apparently, this question single-handedly makes a lot of others non-essential. Either that or they are embarrassed to ask anything else!
