Dakshina Kannada Police

This police office has to be applauded for its pioneering use of blogs to create a more public face. They have been blogging about their activities including people caught and stolen items returned for more than a year now!

Dayananda B is the brains or atleast the writer behind this idea which I hope will spread like fire among other police stations. I am sure the media will be able to utilize the additional transparency provided although other than young people and savvy middle aged people, Indians in general will not have much use of Dayananda's initiative for a few years.

I am amazed and very proud of the Indian Police for the level of transparency being provided.
